Lost XXXIII

i see
a heart that does yearn to feel of love
to see a face, a voice, as true as real life
could there be a you, out there looking for a me, in here
left out shivering in the cold
breaths expelled lifting up in air
floating misty
it dances until the breeze blows it away
gone from sight nevermore to see
until the next sigh of breath escapes again lonely
from the prison of my chest that holds my heart
the burn of loneliness that scars my lips
licked over cracked and bleeding
of your kisses missing, dreaming
holding on to a friendship made
wanting more than i dare seek
for what i seek would bring pain
of love in friendship
