Lost XXXVII

Screams that penetrate the air, falls heavy on the heart
The weight of their words crush and tears apart its beating thump
Every breath stings with a pain that blisters from a burn
As it slowly melts, it disappears, as wax does from a flame
Drips along its smooth form as it deforms its flesh with streaks
Scars that remain are reminders of life’s sinister insane asylum
The pain and suffering to far gone to bare as it pools where he stands
Leaving behind an anchor that spreads the width of life
Defined as a rejected wad, lays to waste until scraped away and replaced
A reaching hand too late as the wick burns out in a cloud
Creating a flowing breeze it swirls the spirit smoke away
It disappears from sight, bit by bit until nothing left but space
