Beacon of Light

A beacon of light shone
It was a small blast that sparkled bright
She appeared from the distance
Miles and miles away
From within the darkness she knew it would be seen
It’s glow fused in mind
Much as a candle does flicker and float
Drawing smiles sublime
Receiving a hearts wave from lost time
A message in a bottle tossed to the waves
Carried out to sea never to be seen
But on a hope and whim to feel
To feel
That life doesn’t end stuck in a boat
As long as there are winds
A heart that beats
Sails will be full of air
Journeys begin so that they may end
Along the way
Some become friends
Some swim away as mermaids
Some drown
That beacon of light that shines
Is a reminder of the good found
In life…
Whether or not still around
