A Rose, Like Her

Her lines, draw the eyes
Bumps and curves that flys
Up from the ground, like stems
Smooth to touch
But let’s not rush
Delicate she is, firm and strong
Yet, take care and hold gentle
For her thorns, are, temperamental

Her beauty is accented
With a glow and a flow
As the sight of leaves dangle
When the wind blows
She leaves a trail to follow
Her striking coloured petals
Like satin lips that curls
Shaping the thought of kissing her

Flowers of every kind
A sun that rises and sets painting the mind
The sound of laughter through the eyes of a child
A crashing sea with whitecaps all frothy
Below the moon and stars of the galaxy
Could there be anything to match her beauty
A rose , like her
