Do You Believe In Me?

Darkness came sooner on this night
The first of winter, it’s coldest rite
Where the sun, is at its weakest point
Clouds of grey cover the sky’s
The moon and stars, hide
No glowing faith
No sparkling hope
No shining charity

Called your name many times
Wrote you letters and poems that rhyme
Not once, not once did you reply
Sat in a church built in your name
To comfort and care each of us the same
No glowing faith
No sparkling hope
No shining charity

My last confession made without the aid
Surely you hear me without a pastor made
A cloth soiled, under a pedofile who prays
My words are for your ears only
A reply is not needed or expected, yours humbly
No glowing faith
No sparkling hope
No shining charity

The single most asked question is
Do we believe in you and the all that is his
With open hearts and will as the book says
Words written by man as true, to read what we see
My question is…do you believe in me?
No glowing faith
No sparkling hope
No shining charity
