The Almighty Tree

Melting in a pot, the heat below, burning hot
Scooped up in batches, poured into a mold, it catches
The shape of its future, being a butcher

The earth absorbs what life drops, because life never stops
A new bud will sprout and carry about breathing life in and out
To fill the globe with air so that life can repair

The damage done by giving steel an edge to be swung
Swinging with might to pave the way for hunters of prey
An ode to thee, the axe, in praise of, The Almighty Tree

Thank you Mister Tree, for all you have given me
You provide the foundation from the ground up in elation
You reach to the sky’s as you grow, so do, mans eyes
The shade that covers from leafy greens, grace of a maiden made
The beauty of a tree, her limbs and shapely branches we see
What a picture perfect moment, when a tree sways her scent
You bare fruit, succulent in clusters of colours
You are the glory on earth, mans ultimate guardian from birth
The symbol of life that paints a family tree of husband and wife
Leaving behind a legacy as time moves on, in its destiny
The cold hard steel is used to build the futures wheel
In praise to thee, The Almighty Tree
