A Child’s Affection

The brilliance of innocence with sweet sunshine kisses
Comes a child’s affection, without lies and deception

A time without love
Lost wandering from
Delicate as a dove
Broken wings thereof
Pain and sorrows hold
That kept an image bold
Not dreams nor pirate gold
Could save this bird sold
Whose soul was stripped
Torn and whipped
Flung about with grit
Holy shit!
Peace had come at last
Gone the ill’s of the past
The silence blew a blast
A drummer, tat, tat, tats
To the beat of a heart
Living life as art
Love from the very start
A child’s affection sparks
