Reading My Mind ~ the end ~ CDXCVI/ D

I found ink in my veins
from a cut of a blade
dripped as a line
that turned into a rhyme
blood dried soaking up eyes

reading my mind…

I found ink in my veins
from a beating heart
boils with thoughts
exploding in my head
misty heat escapes from blasting breath

leading my mind…

I found ink in my veins
from a pounding brain
shots of lightning bolts spark a fire
burns the words flaming dire

bleeding my mind…

I found ink in my veins
from a passionate will
craves to speak a perfect prose
trembling with fear
that your ears would hear

heeding my mind.

Cradled by the Sea

Drifting out to sea,
floating on the tide
Beneath a black cloud,
drowning from inside
Final breath expelled,
lungs flood filling
Waves of shock invade,
the heart beats chilling
The sky above dims,
to a deathly starless grey
Visions slowly fades,
until life gives way
Cradled by the sea,
lost forever more
A rotting corpse,
will never lay on shore
Sink below the surface,
deep into the abyss
Cold and dark,
where light does not exist
Settle on the oceans floor,
final resting place
And disappear,
without a trace

This Is Truth…

Words in my head, they rattle around, mostly with frowns
They come and go, go and return, they find ways to appear
So many thoughts, so little time, they begin to steal sleep
Black liquid gold with a dab of cream, spikes caffeine
The heart rate climbs, it speeds, the need for weed
Blood flows red, feel the surge that rivers to the head
The herb inhaled mingles sweet, with a beat that treats
Explosive are the thoughts, the haves and have nots
Whether, boy girl, girl girl, boy boy, or whatever
If God is God, found everywhere, does that make Him the devil?
Fear from below as much from above
Heaven and Hell, controls the middle
Left and Right, between two separate parties
Which one are you?
This is truth…
Whichever you choose
Our soul, goes to

Drunk on Love

liquid spirit pours
to lips caress, numbing pain
in bellies pot it rots
barley, oats, potato skins too
grapes off vines like black pearls shine
beaten and rolled to fit into a bottle of wine
the higher proof, smoothes so divine
it coats the tongue and draws out desire
filling the mind with courage and fire
goblets or glasses, stemmed or not
tumblers that are etched with slashes
cutting, diamond edges

nachos covered in cheese, chilli dogs are not really dogs
they’re a wiener of sorts but not the ones that dangle
like the hopes of Mrs. Robinson
so, here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson…

may the sun shine brightest upon your face
reflecting eyes that gaze on your breasts
yes, globes of fire that stand as monuments
this of course all said with the utmost respect to women
glorious women, the prized, silver dollar some men flip
yes, some men, pigs that walk erect and not the erect that pleases women
those men that fill themselves to the gills and think they’re invincible

Drunk on Love

the love that is fed with liquor made by demons
the same fucking demons that live in these men
through the vile taste of darks spirit
consumed beyond repair as they drive away impaired

Rolling Stoned

I’ll be down by the river, rolling stoned. The wind blowing cottonwood puffs like snow. Wild flowers blooming in the meadow, fused with the scent of hashish in the air…
Getting high in life’s care

I’ll be down by the river, rolling stoned. All are welcomed as well as those who don’t. Talk if you want or quietly sit alone, a peaceful haven lost and feeling good…
Getting high in the woods

I’ll be down by the river, rolling stoned. Down by the river where the hurt goes away. As all my prayers are answered today. I’ve started to feel what I’ve never felt before…
Getting high with a roar

I’ll be down by the river, rolling stoned. Where harmful thoughts never come to mind. Where love is what you’ll find, wearing flowers in our hair…
Getting high on the Lord’s Prayer

I’ll be down by the river, rolling stoned. Buzzing to the music of the Rolling Stones. “Jumping jack flash, it’s a gas, gas, gas”…
Getting high on some pretty fine grass
